This idea was inspired by the following poem, a send up of those pretentious answerphone messages you often hear. The film marked my first use of 16mm colour film and for a first attempt I was very pleased with the results.
Call
Along multitudes of
Veins
of sound
You have travelled.
Instantaneously almost,
To engage, without moving.
Absence is your reward -
Mine.
And you are tired.
You are the caller,
I am in receipt.
Return, I will.
Soon.
